Air Abrasion
Air abrasion uses a gentle stream of aluminum oxide particles under air pressure, to precisely and rapidly remove tooth structure and decay with no vibration, no noise, no heat, and no odor. As a result the majority of procedures can be done without local anesthesia or use of the drill.
Your teeth are restored to their natural beauty afterwards. Tooth-colored resin-bonded materials are nearly invisible, and chemically adhere to the tooth structure making your restored tooth stronger and more resistant to fracture.
Dr. Stein uses 4.5x to 6.0x magnification for all operative procedures. This is critical for air abrasive tooth preparation, as tooth removal can be kept to an absolute minimum.
